Three years ago, we set out to answer a question the industry had no good data on: what does a healthy wine business actually look like? This year, 541 winery professionals answered. Thank you if you were one of them 😃

The clearest finding: what separates thriving wineries from struggling ones has surprisingly little to do with size, region, or even sales. It comes down to how the business is run.

Here’s a sneak peek of some of the data within:
🍷 The healthiest wineries are more than 3x as likely to be profitable, 73% versus 21%.
🍷 Growth matters less than you would think. Wineries with flat sales are profitable about as often as those with rising sales, 57% versus 58%.
🍷 75% feel confident in their pricing, yet only 56% know their profit on an individual wine.
🍷 60% already use AI, most of it in marketing.
