I'll give you my heart......and I did.

Friday night was absolutely amazing. The bar was given one hell of a final solute. All of you brought back a heartbeat to those walls, the floor and blew off the fu***ng roof. I'm so grateful to have been a part of that. You resurrected a vibe in the room that I've never felt, only heard about it. Thank you for that as well. My heart has been heavy for days and I apologize for the slow response. I'm still mustering up words that will give justice....., merit......to the incredible amount of raw emotion that you contributed to this bar.....this home....our home. I don't know that I have them. What I do have is a memory of a lifetime and you guys created that. I can only hope that we gave the same to you. Until next time. ....

Well, we're here. It's the last night. Decade after decade of memories, of laughs, of engagements, weddings, birthdays, first dates. ........last dates. Great parties, Bob and his awesome karaoke skills. There's just so much to be said.
Tonight we will start off with one last wedding and end with one more kick ass memory. I have so much love for all of you. Thank you for standing with us as we experience this one last.....one final.....send off.
So. .....come sing with us, laugh with us, cry with us or just drink with us.
Raise 'em up. ..........

Hey guys,
Tonight will be our last night for ladies night at The Island. Bob will be here for karaoke from 9 to 1 and there will be drink specials running all night. We will open the doors at 7pm until 2am. Again I want to thank you all for the support and encouragement that you've shown us over the last months.
Our official close date is still set for this coming Friday, the 13th. Bob will also be here with karaoke from 9pm to 1am. Let's close these doors with one more final bang.....

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I write this post. I'm asking you as my friends, my family, my patrons.....to please share this as our time is limited and the clock has began it's countdown.

At 3:00 am this morning a water pipe blew in the back of the Garland Room. This was no ordinary pipe, however. This particular pipe not only fed our mandatory sprinkler system but also a portion of households in the La Prairie area.
At this point, fixing the lines is not an option. Without the sprinkler system in functional order I am required to close the bar.
Having said that........
The Island Bar will be permanently closing it's doors Friday, January 13th of 2017.
My heart is heavy. I'm so sorry you guys. This issue is way beyond my control or the control of others. The building itself is dying.

Please join us over the next 7 days as we say our goodbyes to a building that served as a second home to so many of us.

I can't begin to thank all of you for the support and love that you've shown.
Raise your glasses guys. ....... :(

Merry Christmas Everyone! !!
The Island Bar will be closed Christmas Eve.
However, we will be OPEN CHRISTMAS DAY!! :)
BAR OPENS AT 6:00 PM and KARAOKE starts at 9:00 pm.
