Hi everyone! Here is the information regarding rehearsals and the chorus list for this year's Messiah! Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Saturday chorus rehearsals, 10:30-12:00
October 25
November 1
November 8
November 15
You are required to attend at least three of these rehearsals. Please bring your own copy of Messiah – any edition. We have some copies available for sale if you do not have one. Also, bring a couple sharpened pencils.
Choruses: numbers 4, 9, 12, 17, 21, 22, 24, 33 (semi-chorus until C), 44, 46, 51, 53

Dress rehearsal with orchestra (attendance mandatory – NO exceptions):
Saturday November 22 – 9:00 call (seated and ready to sing), 10:00-12:30 rehearsal
Please note there is a Friday evening rehearsal with strings for the solos so we will use most of the Saturday rehearsal for choruses (you will likely not be done early)
Performance
Sunday, November 23 – 3:00 call, 4:00 performance
Concert attire (chorus AND soloists) – pit black – black long sleeved shirt or blouse
(no ties, no jackets), black pants or skirt, black socks or stockings, black shoes
Reminder: no perfume, cologne, aftershave or other scented toiletries
You will need to provide your own black folder.

Hello everyone!

The chorus rehearsals for this year's "Messiah" are October 25th, November 1st, 18th,15th and dress rehearsal on November 22nd with the performance being on November 23rd. Choristers MUST attend at least three of the regular rehearsals and dress rehearsal is mandatory. Saturday rehearsals are from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Hello Everyone!
We will be holding auditions for soloists for the November 23rd performance of "Messiah" on Saturday, September 6th and Saturday, September 13th, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the nave of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 9020 S. Saginaw Rd. If these times do not work for you please send an email to GBCS.
Please be prepared to sing works suitable for your voice type from Haendel’s "Messiah".
All those auditioning are expected to bring their own copy of music; an accompanist will be provided.
Please email your interest and you will be assigned a time.

Chorus Members
Hello everyone!

Rehearsals will be held on October 26th, November 2nd, 9th & 16th from 10:30-12:00 noon in the nave at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 9020 S. Saginaw Rd., Grand Blanc. Attendance at three of the four rehearsals is required.

The November 23rd Dress Rehearsal is MANDATORY. Chorus needs to report at 9:30AM. Rehearsal with orchestra begins at 10, and we will rehearse all of the choruses first. Soloists will rehearse after break.

The performance will be held on Sunday, November 24th, 4:00PM (3PM call).

Soloist Auditions
We will be holding auditions for soloists for the November 24th performance of "Messiah" on Monday, August 26th and Tuesday, August 27th, from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in the nave of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 9020 S. Saginaw Rd.

Please be prepared to sing works suitable for your voice type from Händel’s "Messiah".

All those auditioning are expected to bring their own copy of music; an accompanist will be provided.

Please confirm with an email the audition time and date you would prefer (again, between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.). If there is a conflict, we will contact you to ask if you can adjust your audition time.
