It's with a sad heart and a big hole in my soul to say goodbye to Terry Fitzwater, one of the founders of the corner of knowledge and a bright star of humanity. Good journey our friend may our paths cross again.

Being a BAR is more than slinging drinks. We are the listener, cause we are cheaper and maybe better than a shrink, (and we dont do drugs, except alcohol. ) We are the helper of the lonely who introduces you to your new best friend. We are your place to go to relax and get away for a bit.

We are NOT here to feed your body. We are here to nourish your soul. We are here to listen when no one else hears you. We are here to support you when everyone in your life is too busy. We are the bars and bartenders of our community FOR our community.

We are bars, THE rallying place. We are NOT the place to bring your kids. We are a BAR! We are here for ADULTS cause adulting is hard and sometimes we need to get a buzz on and act like kids again and that IS NOW against the "law."

The FOR SALE OR LEASE SIGN is up at our Long Branch Saloon in Gonzales cause the Texas Governor is killing us and I dont have the money to keep going while forced, stupidly and irrationally, to stay closed. This is not how I want our SALOON to go out (I wanted it to never go out but want in one hand...) but this Governor OVER-REACH is killing me, literally, and I've got a lot of living to do.

I love you my Long Branch family, i love our Saloon and I pray someone like me, but with money, picks up where I have to leave off.

Please, contact our Govenor with your thoughts on today's executive order unfairly targetting bars. Tabc visited 600 establishments last weekend and only 17 were suspended for not adhering to the guidelines.
