It is with a heavy heart that we announce Padre Murphy’s is closing.

Despite every effort to keep the business going after the fire on October 29, 2024, operating with only a temporary kitchen has proven unsustainable. We are deeply grateful for the incredible support we’ve received over the years, and especially since reopening with limited resources on March 14 of this year.

While Padre Murphy’s may reopen at some point in the future, for now, the business will remain closed.

From all of us at Padre Murphy’s — thank you for being part of our story, our community, and our memories.

🚨 UPDATE 🚨
We should be up and going by 2:00/3:00PM today.

Unfortunately, we are temporarily closed until further notice. Someone has cut out the backflow water pipes for the entire building, leaving us—and our neighboring businesses—without water.

As a restaurant, we cannot operate safely without running water for cooking and sanitation. We are currently working to determine whether the repairs will be handled by the city or the building management.

We’ve done everything we can to stay open and continue serving you, but unexpected challenges like this have forced us to close temporarily. We will keep you updated as soon as we know more about the timeline for repairs.

We truly appreciate your continued support and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience—this situation is just as frustrating for us. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We’re Back! ☘️🎉

After nearly five months, we’re excited to announce that our St. Patrick’s Day event is ON! We’re working hard to reopen as soon as this Friday with a limited food menu as we smooth out the final details of getting back up and running.

Our initial hours will be:
🕚 11 AM – 8 PM (subject to change as we settle in)
🍀 St. Patrick’s Day Hours: 10:30 AM – Midnight

We just received final approvals from the city and state, so we’re hustling to book artists and build our team. While we have staff eager to work, as you can imagine, the fire and insurance process meant we couldn’t retain our original team. Many had to move on to support their families, and we completely understand.

With that said, we can’t wait to welcome you back, even if things feel a little different at first. We’re taking it one day at a time and working toward bringing Padres back to what it used to be!

Thank you for your patience, your support, and your excitement—we can’t wait to see you all on and before St. Paddy’s Day! ☘️

Exciting News for Our Padre Murphy’s Community!

To all of our loyal followers and friends, we’re thrilled to announce that we plan to reopen next week! While we don’t have an exact date just yet, we’ll keep you updated right here as soon as we do.

In the meantime, we’re working hard to open with a limited kitchen capacity using our temporary kitchen trailer as we continue the process in our hopeful rebuild of thee main kitchen (these processes take time). We appreciate your patience and support during this transition.

We’re also pushing to host a St. Patrick’s Day celebration, though this year’s event—and our reopening—may look a little different than in the past. We ask for your support as we navigate these changes and do our best to bring back the Padre Murphy’s experience you know and love.

As we prepare to welcome you back, we’re still working on staffing and adjusting to our temporary setup, but we’re excited to have you back in the building after all this time.

Good afternoon to all the Padre Murphys guests and social media followers. Here is what’s happening with the Padres.

We are trying to reopen. If anyone has ever had a fire claim, they know these things take time. We have been forced to hire outside counsel to advocate for us against our insurance company. We should hear something very soon on reopening. Even then we are not out of the woods. We have a temporary kitchen trailer to operate at a limited menu while the doors are open and food/drinks are served. We know there is chatter about “they’re closing” or “they could’ve at least said it’s gone for good,” but the fact is we have done everything in our power to give option after option for reopening to our insurance company, and they haven’t helped us get to that point.

Some people have even gone as far as marking our business “Permanently Closed” on Yelp and Google. This is the furthest thing from right. Not only does this hurt us even more, but it doesn’t give us an opportunity to let people on those platforms know that we will reopen soon.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter. We get that you’re frustrated. Please try and keep us in mind, trying to fight huge insurance corporations as one small business to get what we rightfully deserve…and that is getting repaired and re-opening.

Our first order of business is to get approvals, hopefully in the next few days, to have a temporary kitchen trailer operational. Mind you, the trailer is already sitting at the restaurant ready to go. Just waiting on approvals. The minute we get that approval, we are days away from opening. Then we can roll in to Paddy's Day and try to get back to some sort of normalcy. All this can happen, but it will not happen without your support and understanding that our backs are up against the wall and we are fighting a giant for what is right.

Thank you for understanding during this uncharted time! We hope to bring you good news sooner than later, but we can assure you that Padre Murphy's will re-open as soon as possible.

We are saddened to let everyone know that we will be closed for at least a few days. Nobody was in the building at the time of a fire but unfortunately we did have a fire in the kitchen that will put us on the sideline for a bit. We will keep everyone updated on a re-open day/time.
