CORONAVIRUS | A W A R E N E S S
At Tudor, the safety and wellness of both our staff and patrons is our highest priority. Staff is closely monitoring the Coronavirus, COVID-19, situation by staying up to date with Centers of Disease Control (CDC) and Illinois Department of Public Health while working with our own Risk Management agency.
How COVID-19 Spreads
• The virus is believed to be spread mostly from person-to-person through respiratory droplets, produced when a nearby infected person (within about 6 feet) coughs and sneezes.
• It may be possible to develop COVID-19 by touching a surface that has the virus on it, and then touching your own mouth, nose, or possibly eyes.
Prevention
For now, the Center For Disease Control (CDC) recommends following measures similar to those used to prevent the spread of influenza and other respiratory illnesses.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing; going to the bathroom; and before eating or preparing food.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Stay home when you are sick. Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath, and may not appear until 2-14 days after exposure. If you suspect you are infected with the virus, call your healthcare provider for further directions
• Seek medical advice if you have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or if you live in or have recently been in an area with ongoing spread of COVID-19.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow or a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces regularly.
Tudor Precautions
To reduce the risk of exposure, Our staff are taking extra precautions to clean "high-touch" surfaces, like doorknobs/handles, light switches, hand railings, supplies and counters/tabletops, periodically throughout the day.
Staff will continue to follow best practices for food handling. You can further protect yourself by using a paper towel to open doors, taking a disinfectant wipe to common area surfaces prior to use, and using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Patrons and staff will find hand sanitizers throughout the bar along with informational signs on COVID-19.
Staff who show symptoms will be sent home per personnel policies.
As future developments occur with the containment and spread of Coronavirus, we will continue to update all patrons and staff.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding, as we work to secure the safety of all patrons and the staff of Tudor.
