Welcome to Oz, where Stephen & Laura Pistoia lead the steps, and the Dance Bullies make sure the dance floor stays full and smiling…Steve and Laura Pistoia are a well-matched team that have been dancing together for more than a decade. Their combined energy has helped them share the love of dance at venues throughout New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania. Steve typically spins the tunes and Laura provides the instruction. “The Dance Bullies” earned their nickname many years ago by keeping dancers on the floor long past the point of sore feet!
Their love for good music and energetic dances ultimately inspired them to write their own choreography. Steve made a name for himself with dances like “Heartache on the Dance Floor”, “Desperate Man”, “Down to the H***y Tonk”, and “Texas Time” partner dance. Today, they frequently choreograph together, and recent favorites have been “Ain’t Far From It”, “Whiskey Whiskey”, and “Somethin ‘Bout a Woman”.
In addition to their regular gigs, Steve and Laura have enjoyed guest instructing at larger venues throughout the US and hosting memorable barn dance parties at their own dance barn.
When they are not dancing, Steve enjoys metal detecting, fishing, & golf, which gives Laura time to play with art and work on writing her book. They both enjoy a good beach day and are looking forward to celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary in Mexico.
Above all, the Dance Bullies are passionate about line dancing and want everyone to have as much fun as they do – whether they like it or not. 🙂
