Happy Tuesday everyone!

After a week of fun with out of town guests it’s time to get serious about the job in front of me.
I’ve had all summer to process it and get a big picture. Now I gotta get to work. Thank goodness for cooler temperatures!

Step 1 is to haul some junk out of the basement. Rockfield regular Tyler is coming over to help me out. If anyone else would like to help, come to Rockfield this Saturday (9/19) at 9am. Any amount of effort is greatly appreciated. 😊

It’s also your chance to see the legendary Rockfield basement! 🤩 I’ll try to make it a little bit fun with drinks and snacks. I’ll have gloves too.

Finally, I really loved it on the last post when people put gig dates and times in the comments. Feel free to always do that! Anyway we can share info about local music is a good thing.

Happy Tuesday Morning!

With Labor Day coming up, this is my last list of weekly gigs. Summer is ending and I need to focus on the many steps of getting Rockfield open again.

That being said, if anyone would like to submit a list of gigs I would be happy to post it! They don’t have to have played Rockfield. Just any performers you’d like people to know about. We are music fans here so share your knowledge!

I was saddened to learn today of the passing of Dolly Parton. I saw her in 1978 at the Minnesota State Fair. She was a tremendous performer and a great story teller. Her generosity knew no bounds. We have lost a national treasure.

Happy Tuesday morning!

I talked to the inspector’s office last week and have a better idea of the expectations. I’ve also had some electricians in for estimates so it’s starting to take shape. It all seems very doable but how fast I don’t know.

Many people have offered to help (thank you!). I’m pretty busy for the next few weeks but I’d like to get something going in mid September. Mainly cleaning junk out of the basement. If you’d like to help let me know in the comments.

What a turnout!

Thank you everyone who came out on a Wednesday to see some great blues!

Mark, Billy, Rodrigo, and Patrick laid it down, staying true to the old school while making it their own. It was tasty throughout. Thank you gentlemen for a fine night of music!

Thank you Tina and Jim for having another Rockfield Relocated show. Down Slope is an awesome place and it’s been great to work with you. 😊
