Introducing Vignoles 2!

This grape was released by the USDA Agricultural Research Service on the AgriTech campus. Cornell researchers were proud to collaborate on research for this new variety.

If you loved Vignoles 1 (originally called Ravat 51) for its vibrant peach, apricot and citrus notes, you weren’t alone. It quickly became a favorite among New York grape growers and winemakers. Its one drawback? Those famously tight clusters made it susceptible to disease.

This new variety offers a similar flavor profile, but with looser clusters that significantly reduce disease pressure.

Vignoles 2 vines are now available through Amberg Wine Cellars and Double A Vineyards.
