Yesterday, May 30th, the class of 2026 graduated from Mooseheart.

The reason this beautiful campus and these children have very bright futures, is YOU!! As a member of our Fraternity, your yearly dues and your donations to the endowment fund, support this Child City.

After the Graduation Ceremony and the Pilgrim March, the Illinois Moose Association had a picnic at the Illinois home. What a beautiful home! The family teachers are wonderful and Krista (17) & Danna (17) two of the girls, gave us the best tour. Both girls bright, articulate and funny. Both play in the band - flute & trombone - and both have big aspirations after high school. One plans to go into Bio-Chemistry and the other Forensic Psychology.

If you ever DOUBT why you pay your dues OR you ever wonder why you haven't joined us yet.....THIS. This right here is WHY!

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Congratulations to hard working men that earned their Pilgrim Degrees of Merit.

For those gathering this weekend in Mooseheart, Illinois for the 2026 Mooseheart Graduation, may we all take a moment to truly reflect on what this sacred place represents—not just to the students graduating, but to generations of children whose lives were forever changed because someone cared enough to act.

Over a century ago, James J. Davis saw something that many others overlooked. He saw children whose lives had been turned upside down by circumstances beyond their control. He understood that behind every child facing hardship was still a future filled with possibility—if only someone would provide love, stability, guidance, and hope.

From that vision, Mooseheart was born.

Not simply as a school. Not simply as a home. But as a promise.
A promise that no child would stand alone.

Since 1913, thousands upon thousands of children have walked through the gates of Mooseheart carrying pain, uncertainty, grief, fear, and loss. Yet within this community, they found something extraordinary: family. They found people who believed in them before they believed in themselves. They found safety, education, encouragement, compassion, and the opportunity to dream again.
“Enter to Learn. Leave to Serve.”

Those words are not just a motto. They are a way of life. Mooseheart teaches young people not only how to succeed, but how to become compassionate human beings who understand the importance of giving back, lifting others up, and serving humanity with dignity and purpose.

James J. Davis could have never imagined every challenge the world would face over the next century, but his vision remains alive today because Moose members continue to answer the call. Generation after generation, members have stepped forward to ensure this mission survives—not for recognition, not for profit, but because love in action still matters.

That is the true power of the Moose fraternity.

We are not simply a membership organization, we are caretakers of hope, we are guardians of a mission bigger than ourselves and we are proof that humanity is still capable of incredible compassion.
As graduates walk across that stage this weekend, remember what you are witnessing. You are seeing resilience. You are seeing lives rebuilt. You are seeing children who were embraced during their darkest moments now stepping forward into the world with confidence, strength, and purpose.

Mooseheart stands today because ordinary people chose to do extraordinary things together.

And perhaps that is the greatest lesson of all, when love, care, sacrifice, and community unite around a common mission, lives change forever.

To every graduate, every house parent, every teacher, every volunteer, every staff member, and every Moose member who has helped carry this mission forward—thank you.

This place is bigger than buildings.

Bigger than ceremonies.

Bigger than titles.

This is humanity at its very best.

Enjoy your special time at Mooseheart.
