43 years of McMenamins started with a single pub in 1983… and somehow turned into a whole collection of places with stories that refuse to sit still. 🍻✨
On June 13, we’re celebrating that journey the only way we know how, by looking back at where it all began, and all the unexpected places that came along with it.
Like McMenamins Gearhart Hotel, a coastal landmark with deep roots in a place built for gathering long before we arrived in 2012. Gearhart itself has seen it all: grand seaside hotels rising and falling, golf traditions stretching back over a century, fires, rebuilds, and generations of people coming together around the Sand Trap for camaraderie, stories, and a very long history of good times. That spirit is still very much alive along the coast today.
And that’s really what this anniversary is about.
Not just where we’ve been, but all the places that already knew how to bring people together before we ever showed up.
