A unique, fun and educational wine shop and tasting bar located at the Hoffman Village Shopping Center in Gastonia, NC. Our store carries over 250 artisan wines from smaller producers (5000 cases or less per year) from the US, South America and other parts of the globe. Weekly wine and beer tastings, as well as food and customer loyalty programs, are all part of the Grape and Barley experience. In

order to serve malt beverages (beer) for on premise consumption, Grape and Barley will operate as a private club. Membership fee is $1 per year.

There’s nothing to buy, but we will have 2 different punches for donations, a couple bottles from our collection, and a BYOB situation to cheers with us.

Our hearts are feeling the love! ❤️
We just wanted to say thank you for the love and support not only over the last day and a half since the announcement but over the last 7 years that we have been here.
While I would love to see everyone’s face today, we have nothing left to sell so we will be closed today (5/20).
Please feel free to drop in Monday (we’re getting here early and closing late) to say “see ya later” - you just have to BYOB!! 😉

This is the hardest post we have had to write but with heavy tears we have to say goodbye to Grape and Barley.

Monday, May 22nd will be our last day in business.

Let me start off by saying this, we have been on one fun rollercoaster for the last 7 years.

You all welcomed us strangers into your bar and made us your family. We had a lot going against us with the way we purchased it at just 25 and 26 years old, then when Covid shut our doors, to now, having our best year in all 11 years of business, only for our Landlord to say no more.
You watched our family form with little Charlotte, now 5 and Grant 3.5years old. You watched them grow, you watched us grow as owners, and hopefully friends, because we think of each and everyone of our customers as family. Let's be for real, sometimes we saw you more than our own family and that's what made Grape and Barley Gastonia's little Cheers.

Because this came as just as a shock to us as it probably is to you - we are not having a big going away party but would love to offer this....
On Friday, May 19th - Monday, May 22nd all Wine and Beer to-go items are 20% Off
If you pay cash, an additional 10% will be taken off.

Let's make sure we don't give one drop of beer on tap or bourbon in the bottle back.
Starting Friday all beer on tap will be $5, and all 2oz liquor pours will be $10 until they are gone! And most importantly, make sure you say goodbye to your favorite bartenders/ friends. Lee's last day is Thursday; Kaitlyn's last day is Friday, and Hunter last day is Saturday. Miles is away at the racetrack this weekend but both him and I will be there to close everyone out for the last time on Monday.

This is not goodbye. In the words of our sweet little girl Charlotte "We are just going to build a bigger and better Grape and Barley when we are ready."
This is a see you later!
