Hey all!
I haven't done much soaping since our cross-country move last summer; however, for better or worse, current events have left me with a bit of time on my hands. I pulled out a recipe that I've been meaning to make for awhile and put together a beautiful (if I say so myself!) black and white milk soap scented with rosewood and grass. I was super excited to post pictures and maybe sell a few bars. Unfortunately, after unmolding it, it became obvious that the ingredients hadn't mixed properly, and the bars couldn't be used in their current form. The soap has now been rebatched (grated, melted down in a double boiler and remolded) and is ready for use! Now presenting the Ugly A** soap, appropriately stamped with the image of an adorable donkey :p It may be less aesthetically pleasing, but it still smells great and does it's job! If you're interested in purchasing a bar of your very own, send a message my way. Other soaps coming soon!

Ugly soap! This is what happens when you add honey to hot process soap before it has cooled down. The saponification process causes an exothermic reaction with the sugar, and you end up with burnt soap :( This was supposed to be a beautiful shampoo bar containing silk proteins and oils infused with chamomile and calendula, with a fresh pear scent.
