Gatsby's Open Mic w/Danny Lang

Gatsby's Open Mic occurs each Wednesday* from 7-10pm. Sign-up board opens approx. 6:15pm. Typical Sign-up board opens by 6:30pm. House also provides lighting.

Typical format allows for 3 songs/15 minute performances for each musician. Board size may cause nightly adjustments. This is a music oriented Open Mic geared toward acoustic and electric guitar performances. We offer 3 dynamic mics, 3 instrument inserts through 2-1000w 15 inch speakers and 2 monitors. Cajon's are welcome, We currently have a house drummer to offer percussion during sets. Earn A $

PAID$ Gig Event: Gatsby's offers an ability to earn a paid gig on specific Saturday's from 6-8pm, opening up for the Saturday Night Band. The events run seasonally and run in 4-6 week voting cycles. Performers earn Player Points through nightly voting by patrons, venue staff and host. The player with the most points at the end of each event period earns the paid gig. This is not a single night voting/winner event. We normally announce the winner 9-10 days in advance to allow for proper marketing of the gig. Performers are expected to be able to play 2 hours worth of material and provide their own sound equipment. The Open Mic Host may provide sound assistance, if needed, for a small fee. Gatsby's reserves the right to suspend or adjust the event as needed without notice.

A great night on the patio last week! Lots of talent and a first-timer Lucas joining in on the fun.

A new stage name was launched for Noah and Ian, “Long Holiday”!

Our Mystery Artist was Just Greg!

Larry Hayes paid a visit and supplied some harmonica support. As well as Chaz Mechenbier and our bartenderTiffany closing out the night. And a return appearance from “DC from NYC”!

Looking for another patio night tomorrow unless it looks like rain. But we are hoping it comes through early.

Finally, our first patio night for Gatsby’s Open Mic tonight 7-10pm-ish.

I’m still buzzing from my gig with John Schwab last night at Gatsby’s. So I’m super excited to be on the patio again tonight.

We had a great time last night, though bitter sweet, as we said bon-voyage to our friend Dave Speicher, who will be moving up north.

But we gave him a great send-off with a Gatsby’s Open Mic memory to take with him. Thanks to all the players who signed his frame. I think the cake was good, as there wasn’t any left. 😊

We also had a special visitor 🦜 who loves to sing-a-long!

He had a great Jam session including a surprise Sax 🎷 performance from Brian Kelley!

Chaz, Tiffany and Jack closed out the night!

Don’t forget, I will be playing along with John Schwab Tuesday from 6-9pm. Stop out, I’d love to see supporting familiar faces.

We are hoping to be on the patio if the rain moves out early enough. Bring an extra layer for the later hour.

Today will be our friend, Dave Speicher’s last Gatsby’s Open Mic. Stop out to hear Dave one last time before he moves away.

Also, Don’t forget this Sat, our final Earn A $PAID$ Gig winners, Tom Loschiavo and Matt Springer, play 5-7pm. Hoping for the patio.

Congratulations to Tom Loschiavo and Matt Springer on winning the final Earn A $PAID$ Gig Event. They will split the gig on Sat May 30 5-7pm, on the patio stage #2, weather permitting. They will be opening up for The Mustangs!
