After 7 incredible years at our Tap & Kitchen in downtown Fuquay, we’ve decided it’s time to swim back to our roots. Our lease is up - and the proposal is for a 55% rent hike. Given the dramatic increase and after a lot of consideration, we’ve decided we need to focus on what’s core to Vicious Fishes Brewery, which is making the best beer we can and serving it directly to patrons in our taprooms. We’ve loved serving this community, having the opportunity to employ an amazing team and making so many friends along the way. We are deeply appreciative of how this community rallied to support us during the throes of closures forced in 2020. We remain ever grateful for everyone that supported local businesses with your wishes and wallets.
Our closing will be happening very soon and we’d love to see you again before we turn out the lights. Come say hello to your favorite server or bartender and savor your favorite dish produced by our genius chef and his team. We’ll keep rocking this week as long as there’s food in the kitchen.
After that, our original Vicious Fishes Angier brewery and taproom is a short 7 miles away and we hope you’ll visit us there. We also have taprooms in Vicious Fishes Apex, our new production brewery in Vicious Fishes Cary and Cary Beach House our Christmas Pop-up Bar also in downtown Cary. And never say never, we’d love it if a taproom-focused home in Fuquay became available at some point in the future. Thank you, Fuquay, for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the last seven years!
