F*** It Up Friday Question:

Was this a shotgun wedding?

Look, we’re not trying to start rumors, but we did some math.

And by “we” we mean Erin, who apparently has entirely too much free time.

Finn & Goldie got married on January 17, 2026.

Goldie celebrated being 120 days pregnant on May 19, 2026.

That’s only 122 days later.

Meaning these two wasted absolutely no time starting a family.

And now…

They’re having a calf shower at Mason Jar.

At this point, these cows have a more active social life than most of Fuquay.

So before we attend this blessed event, we need answers:

🐮 Do we bring a monogrammed salt lick?

🐮 A year’s supply of hay?

🐮 Tiny cowboy boots?

🐮 A contribution to the future NC State Agriculture Program?

🐮 Or do we just show up with diapers and let God sort it out?

Alright Fat Cat, Happy FIUF to you… we need answers.🍻🤨

You call yourselves Fat Cat but somehow forgot the DOGS in this situation?

We rolled up with three very good boys/girls fully prepared for a banana peanut butter ice cream experience… and found out there was NO doggie menu. Meanwhile Duke’s rolled out a full canine fine dining operation.

So this week’s FIUF question is:
How does an ICE CREAM shop not have dog ice cream when literally every pit bull in Fuquay is emotionally prepared for it?

The betrayal was palpable.
The spoons were ready.
The tails stopped wagging.

We still love y’all though. But our pitties would like to formally request:

We were supposed to drop this FIUF today and drag Bass Lake Draft House into some friendly Bigfoot chaos… because honestly, they seemed like exactly our kind of people.

Then we heard they closed their doors after 23 years.😢

So instead of roasting them, we’re posting this as a tribute to the kind of local businesses that gave our towns personality. The places willing to laugh, have fun, and not take themselves too seriously.

This week, FIUF officially turns into Pay It Forward Friday with Shakey Ray’s Tavern.

So here’s the REAL question:

What local bars, restaurants, pubs, dives, breweries, and small businesses are YOU supporting this weekend?

Because these places matter. And sometimes we don’t realize how much until one is suddenly gone. 🍻

Wally’s is having a beach-themed Paint & Sip night on Tuesday and now Terry and I are wondering… should we all go?? 😭🎨🏖️

Are they emotionally prepared for a Brick/Shakey Ray’s play date after everything we’ve learned this week about not everyone finding us funny? 😈🧱😂

We’re trying very hard to become more self-aware but honestly it’s not going great.
