To everyone who has been calling and asking about arrangements — thank you for caring about her.

Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours and she will be cremated privately. That is what she wanted, and as much as it breaks my heart, I am honoring those wishes fully.

I understand that many of you would like the opportunity to pay your respects. Please know your love and concern mean more than I can express. I also want to sincerely thank those who have laid flowers in front of her business — the kindness and thoughtfulness have not gone unnoticed, and it has meant more to our family than you know.

At this time, I am focused on laying her to rest properly and privately.

However… those who truly knew us know I didn’t always listen to her — so in true fashion, I will be planning a memorial service in her honor when the time is right. I want to celebrate her life in a way that reflects her spirit and the impact she had on so many.

For now, I ask for your understanding and patience as we move through these first steps.

Thank you for loving her.

"This is a picture of my mother, Edith and aunt RoRo(on the left) when they were young. Since they were only 1-1/2 years apart in age, they grew up more like sisters than niece and aunt. Their relationship meant the world to Mom, especially since she was an only child. Over the years, Mom told me many stories about the wonderful times they shared together growing up. I'm sure Mom had a special place in her heart for Aunt RoRo. I certainly do, too. I will miss her greatly." ~ Bonnie Whitford
