Jana and Jennie did it again! ✨
This past Saturday, familiar faces and new friends gathered at Fuselage, for another afternoon of rhinestones, ci**rs, and craft cocktails. Guests bedazzled masks and w**e glasses, adding their own sparkle while catching up around the table.

Thank you, ladies, for the care and work you put into these gatherings each month. Watching this community grow—and seeing guests return to create, laugh, and spend time together—has been a pleasure.

Join us for Cigar 101: Unknown Myths of the Cigar Industry with Brandon Frakes this Tuesday, October 20th

Brandon has spent years working closely with the cigar industry, from the to***co fields to the creative and business sides of the brands we know today.

Through multiple trips to Nicaragua, he’s experienced the process firsthand, walking the to***co fields, learning about cultivation and production, and seeing how a cigar comes to life. His involvement extends all the way to brand development, creative direction, and helping shape the vision behind a cigar company.

Now he’s bringing those experiences and behind-the-scenes insights to ICC!

We’ll cover cigar basics, bust common myths, explore the journey from seed to cigar, and answer the questions you’ve always wanted to ask.

Part 2: Gala Night in Madrid
After a beautiful Spanish lunch, we returned at 8 p.m. to find the warehouse transformed for an evening celebrating Nelson Alfonso, his family, and Selected To***co. Around 200 guests gathered from across the world, sharing tapas, jamón, chipirones, and Spanish w**e, with Byron Venecianos and Atabey Ritos presented on trays throughout the evening.

The same care we had witnessed during the factory tour carried into every part of the celebration. Plates designed by Nelson featured gold accents, while centerpieces incorporated to***co leaves cultivated inside the facility. Seeing those leaves become part of the table setting was a beautiful connection between the morning’s tour and the evening’s hospitality.

Dinner included tomato and burrata salad with jamón, followed by solomillo and a beautifully presented cheesecake served in its own box. Live Spanish guitar and traditional flamenco dancing filled the room, giving us another way to experience the culture of the country Nelson calls home.

The most moving moments came as Nelson’s family legacy was recognized and he thanked his wife for her support throughout the journey. After seeing how much of himself he puts into his work, hearing him acknowledge the people beside him made the evening feel deeply personal.

Nelson, thank you again for personally inviting us to represent the Industrial Cigar Co. community. We were grateful to share this celebration with you and your family, and to bring a little of that experience home to everyone at ICC.

Let’s keep the Spain tour rolling - A closer look inside Selected To***co, Madrid.

Walking through Nelson Alfonso’s factory gave us a deeper appreciation for the patience behind every cigar. From to***co resting in large bales through fermentation and leaf aging to time spent in French oak barrels under carefully controlled conditions, each stage receives its own attention before the leaves reach the rollers.

Inside the two-story humidor, dedicated aging rooms explore the characteristics of woods featured in “The Six Cedars of Selected To***co.” Their aromas and the environments they create are part of Nelson’s approach to maturing the finished ci**rs. Nearby, controlled growing rooms allow to***co plants to undergo multiple growing cycles, helping advance research and development beyond the pace of outdoor seasons.

Rolling is followed by careful selection and further aging before the finished ci**rs find their place in a box. Seeing these stages firsthand made Nelson’s passion tangible—the rooms, the research, and the years of work behind something we get to enjoy together.

Part 1: The Factory Tour

It was our honor to be personally invited by Nelson Alfonso to celebrate the grand opening of Selected To***co’s new facility in Madrid, Spain.

Andrew and Diana traveled to celebrate alongside some of the most influential people in the cigar industry. We wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Our only regret was that we couldn’t bring everyone along.

Saturday began at 8 a.m., touring the rooms where to***co rests and ages under carefully controlled conditions. We also visited rooms with growing plants, where, as explained during the tour, growth that normally takes three years outdoors can happen in one year. Every room revealed the patience, precision, and care behind Nelson’s work.

The two-story humidor, lined with Spanish cedar, held something deeply personal: bronze replicas of the door to his family’s tomb. His family’s history was present even here, among the ci**rs that carry his legacy forward.

In the showroom, we saw Nelson’s creations, including the Selected To***co project he designed for Industrial Cigar Co. Seeing our own connection represented there meant a great deal. We also stepped inside his office, where so many of those ideas begin.

Nelson shared the promise he made to his grandfather 36 years ago: to carry forward his legacy through Byron. A photographer and surrealist painter, he brings an artist’s eye to every detail and a grandson’s devotion to that promise.

We finished the tour over lunch at Asturias Asador Julio 7, sharing c***r, tapas, tortilla, and w**e, followed by café cortado and chupitos.

Nelson, thank you for opening your doors and sharing the history behind your work. Hosting the world’s first Atabey Private Lounge is an honor, and seeing that care firsthand gave us even more to bring home and share with our community.

Meet this year’s event-only 🎃 kit. Here’s the full story:

Each year, we release a special project for our one night only Halloween event. We’ve had some amazing kits from previous years, but this years is undeniably the best.

Due to product avialability, only 60 will exist, launching in just a couple of weeks this years 10th annual Halloween costume party. This year’s theme is the Movies the Made Us - an ode to the be kind rewind generation, movie stores, summer blockbusters that weren’t just remakes of previous movies... the good old times.

What makes the kit?
Packaged inside a true VHS holder (not recommended for humidification) will sit 5 ORIGINAL Crux Guild Marbleheard Toro Boxed Press ci**rs wearing a true vintage mobie theater ticket footband. plus, a mini bottle of Ironroot Republic to enjoy your first pour and pairing with.
