Building an axe throwing booth for Bellwright at IGN Live meant balancing authenticity, safety, and a little acoustic engineering. 🪓⚒️

Working with Experiential Supply Co., we created an immersive experience that looked true to the game while keeping guests safe and minimizing noise for neighboring exhibitors.

A unique challenge and a seriously fun build from start to finish.

Need a sandy scene without turning the shop into a beach? 🏖️

This is a sand mat. We create it by spraying a layer of urethane onto a flat surface, then covering it with real sand while it’s still tacky. Once it cures, the sand is permanently bonded, creating a lightweight, flexible sheet that looks just like the real thing.

It’s a simple fabrication trick that solves a big production problem: getting the look of sand without the mess, cleanup, or hassle of bringing in the real thing.

Sometimes the cleanest solutions are the simplest. đź‘Ś

When a foam piece is too large or oddly shaped for the hot wire table, we break out this trick:

After measuring the exact cut line, we attach standard 90° construction trim directly to the foam to create a rigid guide for the manual hot wire cutter. That gives us a smooth, consistent cut even on massive or awkward pieces.

A little fabrication hack that saves a LOT of cleanup later. 🔥✂️
