Well sports fans, things are moving quickly on the sale of Burgards Tavern. We expect the sale & transfer of ownership to be completed within 2 weeks. We just want to make sure that the new owners are the right fit for the past, present, & future patrons of Burgards!

well its done. the village of freeburg has revoked our liquor license effective immediately. we have no intention of fighting this & are resolved to the fact that it would be too hard to have a working relationship with the village. having said that, we are now actively pursuing the right buyer for the property & the business. it has been a great experience for us & we have met & got to know many great people over the last 15 years. just fyi, there is a committee as a whole meeting set for tomorrow, wed., oct. 2 @ 6:30pm at the village municipal center. any & all concerned citizens are welcome to attend this meeting & will be given a chance to speak & voice their opinion on this matter at the end of the meeting. our concern in this whole matter is the granting of a new liqour license to the parties we deem appropriate to own & run burgards tavern in the future. we are asking anyone who might want to be heard about this issue to plz come to this meeting & voice their opinion. also, fyi, apparently the church across high st. adjacent the the tavern is vehemently voicing their oppositon in this matter. we just want every concerned citizen to be able to be heard.

Burgards Tavern in Freeburg, Il. will be open this FRIDAY, SATURDAY, & SUNDAY, SEPT. 27, 28, & 29 at the usual times (10:30am to 1am) each day! We will be closed MONDAY, OCT. 30. This Saturday, Sept 21 we have the fabulous & always entertaining: "FATHER JACK BAND" performing from 8:30 to 12:30! This Sat., Sept 14, we have "THRILL FACTOR" (8:30-12:30) playing ur favorite rock n roll songs!!! Next Sat., Sept 21, we have "THE FATHER JACK BAND" performing! Starting next Thursday, Sept 19, we will have OPEN-MIC NIGHT again from 8pm to 10:30 pm! Every Thursday will be "OPEN-MIC NIGHT" from 8pm to 10:30pm! The first thur. open-mic night on sept. 19 will be hosted by: "BLUE FRUIT SNACKS (BONGO BOB & AHNA)! they will host every other thursdays. On Thur., Sept 26, open-mic night will be hosted by: "MO CASH"! He will do every other Thursday as well. We hope that is clear enuf for u all. hehehe! JUST SHOW UP ON THURSDAYS FROM 8PM TO 10:30PM! Bring ur own instruments & props, a pa system will be supplied. ty, that is all.
