Let me introduce another artist that will be showcasing his photography art work at our event on September 30.

Robert Aarikson is an award-winning photographer based in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He studied photography at The Art Institute of Philadelphia in the 1980s and has spent decades refining his artistic vision and developing a distinctive photographic style.
Specializing in black-and-white photography, his work reflects a lifelong passion for art and a deep appreciation for historical landmarks, architecture, nature, and wildlife. Through his images, he seeks to capture the beauty, character, and timeless essence of the world around him.
A well-known photographer within the Fredericksburg arts community, Robert Aarikson is a member of the Fredericksburg Photography Club and the Fredericksburg Street Photography Collective. He also serves as administrator of the Fredericksburg Area Visual Arts page, where he helps promote local artists, exhibitions, and creative events throughout the region.
His photography has received numerous accolades, including First Place at the 75th Annual Art & Sale Show hosted by the Women's Club of Fredericksburg. He currently maintains an art space at Fredericksburg Canal Quarter Arts, where his work is exhibited and available for purchase.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Robert Aarikson is a member of Chatham Manor and is committed to supporting local charities and community organizations. Through both his photography and community involvement, he continues to contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape of Fredericksburg.

Artist Bio:

Summer Rogers is a local artist currently pursuing Studio Arts Major at UMW. She works mostly with acrylic paints and occasionally plays with oils. Appreciation for life and all of the universe is the inspiration behind all of her art work. Summer says “To take a moment to sit, see and imagine the beauty of all things to yet somehow placing it onto a canvas is healing for my soul.”
