Craft beer in Franklin didn't just come to town - it moved into the former town hall and fire department! Located at 188 W. in historic downtown Franklin, the municipal buildings have been transformed into a fully functioning production craft brewery, complete with taproom, an outdoor patio, and outdoor event space. Lazy Hiker Brewing Co. opened in May 2015 and was the first of its kind for Franklin. It continues the expansion and success of craft beer in Western North Carolina. Around the region you'll find plenty more craft breweries to explore; the Asheville Ale Trail will take you from Franklin to the heart of Asheville and back again. is crafting beer and community that are fresh and honest. We encourage ALL craft b**r enthusiasts to stop by for the release today and get these brews while you can — they are in limited supply! When they're gone, they're gone; and it will be a long time before our 2027 collaborative release! You may be shocked to find that you enjoy fresh hop brews even if you aren't typically into hoppy b**r. Cheers!
