🚨🐾 URGENT! GOOFY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT IN THE CHICAGO AREA! ❤️

Just 8 pounds. Only 2 years old. And already trying to figure out why his world has changed. 💔

Meet Goofy! This adorable little Schnauzer mix was found wandering as a stray and taken to a shelter. We don’t know what happened to him before that, but we do know he deserves a chance to feel safe and loved.

Goofy was understandably frightened at first. Everything was unfamiliar, and he wasn’t sure who to trust. But we’re already starting to see glimpses of the sweet little dog underneath that fear. ❤️

He’s beginning to warm up and has even started playing with other dogs! 🐶 Those are BIG steps for a little guy who’s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place.

But GOOFY URGENTLY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME!

🐾 Age: 2 years old
🐾 Weight: Just 8 pounds
🐾 Breed: Schnauzer mix
🏡 Location needed: Chicago area
🌳 Must have a securely fenced yard
❤️ Needs: A patient, understanding person who will give him time to decompress and build trust at his own pace

Goofy doesn’t need someone to rush him, overwhelm him, or expect him to be the perfect dog on day one.

He needs someone who understands that frightened dogs need time. Someone who will celebrate the little victories—the first wagging tail, the first playful moment, the first time he realizes he’s finally safe. 🥹

Fostering could change everything for Goofy. And if you’ve been thinking about adopting, fostering with the possibility of adoption might be the perfect way to get to know this little guy.

Please don’t overlook him because he’s scared. There’s a playful, loving little dog beginning to emerge, and we want to give him every opportunity to blossom.
