Today, weโre celebrating Cam & Kelsey and FIVE YEARS of dedication to The Drunken Clam! ๐ฆช๐น
For the last five summers, these two have helped shape The Clam into what it is today โ bringing you top-notch service, great drinks, good laughs, and a whole lot of hard work behind the scenes.
And this summer? It was a challenging oneโฆ
Cam started the season with a torn Achilles that required surgery, leaving him sidelined and out of commission for the majority of the summer. That meant Kelsey was without her other half for much of the season โ all while staffing was tough and the demands of running a busy outdoor bar never slowed down.
But, as Kelsey does, she showed up and persevered. She didnโt miss a beat. โค๏ธ
From late-night slush mixology to the countless hours of scooping, prepping and making sure those slushes were ready to fly during serviceโฆ managing inventory, submitting orders, working long days in the heat and humidity, battling bees, flies and whatever else Mother Nature decided to throw her way, working long nights and every holiday โ and cooking and serving up what seemed like an endless number of Hoppโs Pizzas (seriouslyโฆ did we REALLY go through that many pizzas this summer?! ๐๐) โ she does it all.
She makes it look easy, but it is anything but. And Kelsey, we appreciate you more than words can say. โค๏ธ
And then there was Camโs comebackโฆ
After being sidelined for much of the summer, he was finally able to get back behind the bar with us for the month of August โ and let me tell yaโฆ he put in some WORK. ๐ป
Long nights, sore nights, and a whole lot of determination later, it was pretty damn good to have him back where he belongs โ Cam in the Clam!! Weโre so grateful he was able to finish out the summer alongside us.
Five years is a BIG milestone. And we couldnโt let it pass without celebrating these two who have poured so much of themselves into The Drunken Clam over the years.
