Dear Friends,
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close the basement lounge. Our final night of service will be July 31, 2026.
For more than a decade, the basement lounge has been more than a cocktail bar. It has been a gathering place for celebrations, friendships, music, local art, and countless memorable evenings.
Unfortunately, substantial increases in rent, insurance, and other operating expenses have made it financially unsustainable for us to continue operating the lounge. This was not an easy decision, and it comes after exhausting every available option to keep our doors open. While we are heartbroken to have to close this chapter. We have faith that when one door closes another will open.
We are incredibly grateful to every guest who descended the stairs, ordered a cocktail, attended an event, supported a local artist, celebrated a milestone, or simply made the basement lounge part of their evening. We are equally thankful to all the talent behind the bar we’ve had the pleasure of employing over the years, as well as the DJ’s, musicians, artists, vendors, and community partners who helped create the experience that made the basement lounge so special.
We invite you to join us during our remaining weeks as we celebrate the people, memories, and moments that have defined the basement lounge.
