Last night, our Magnolia neighborhood experienced something no one ever wants to see. Two homes directly across the street from us caught fire, and families lost so much in a matter of moments.
We’re incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely, including their pets. Before first responders arrived, one of our managing partners, Dylan, was able to help several residents, including their pets and a woman using a wheelchair, get out of the homes and away from danger. We’re thankful he was there to lend a hand during such a frightening moment.
Our staff then welcomed everyone into our bar, where they could catch their breath and be together while the Fort Worth Fire Department worked to contain the fire. We closed our doors for the majority and f the evening so those affected had a safe place to gather and focus on what mattered most.
A heartfelt thank you to the Fort Worth Fire Department and all of the first responders who arrived so quickly and handled this emergency with professionalism, courage, and compassion.
We’ve spoken with the homeowners and have offered our support. As soon as they provide a GoFundMe or another way to help, we’ll share it with our community.
For now, we simply ask that you keep these families in your thoughts and prayers as they begin the difficult process of rebuilding. Moments like these remind us that neighbors looking after neighbors can make all the difference, and we’re grateful everyone made it out safely.
