Hey everyone, Mark here. After some discussion Anna and I have decided to step away from the dancing community. This may be a little bit of a shock to some people, but we are not the kind of people that bring drama to social platforms because dance communities are meant to be fun and fulfilling.

We are both very proud to say we built something that helped people build confidence in themselves, helped people reach goals, and developed a great community that loves and supports each other.

We hope you all continue dance, and wanted to say thank you for all the fun, and for the memories we have created together along the way.

We also wanted to give a special thank you to Branding Iron Nightclub for giving us the opportunity to build this community and supporting us along the way.

Don’t forget to brush up on these dances tonight! Tomorrow is our Tshirt challenge!!! It’s a low stakes challenge. Last but not least is our dynamic duo - Mark and Anna. Combined they have 37 years of dance experience, 28 of which are strictly in line and swing dance! They have traveled to coast to coast and have danced from California to Florida to Idaho and beyond. They both started out with country swing and two step and when they moved to Idaho they began to learn line dancing.

Mark started learning swing dance and two step in his middle school PE class. He continue to build his skills throughout high school and college. In college he taught swing lessons as well. His favorite line dances are the faster paced ones with lots of stomping. His favorite thing about dancing is the community and lifelong friends you can make. The reason he started MA dance was to cultivate and foster that community here in the Tricities.

Anna started her dance experience with traditional Irish dance in elementary school. Mark introduced her to the world of country swing and two step when they first started dating 11 years ago. Aerials are her favorite trick in swing, while he favorite line dances are ones she can shake her b***y to. She loves dancing because it’s a way to step back from the stress of work and life and is a great way to recharge.

Hello, my name is Savannah. I am one of MA dance instructors. My favorite line dance is country girl stomp to the song uptown funk. I am a tradeswomen during the day and instructor by night. Dancing creates a fun atmosphere to unwind, relax and just enjoy myself without any judgement. Getting to teach to others so they can experience the same joy I have found is my favorite part!

Dustin has been dancing for over 2 years and started in Colorado springs. Dustin is a get up and go kind of guy who loves how dancing can ease his mind. High energy fast pace dances are his favorite to show off to but does enjoys slowing down and learning new dances.

“I broke my spine when I was 20 which introduced me to my passion, and I’m now In school to be a nuclear medicine technologist (medical imaging if you want to keep it simpler)
I have a daughter in elementary school and line dancing is one of our favorite things to do together.”
