Built in 1948, opened in 1950, the historic Ridglea Theater is one of the last true ART DECO theaters left in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. After decades of successful movie premieres and nightly entertainment for the trendy Camp Bowie Blvd district, the Ridglea was converted to a music venue in 1997. During this time it played host to some of the hottest live music acts in American show busi
ness. Not only did the Ridglea help launch the careers of the local DFW based artists the Toadies, Old 97s, Flickerstick, and Pimpadelic, the Ridglea has also played host to many of America's most eclectic artists. Willie Nelson, Damageplan, Rollins Band / Black Flag, Mudvayne, Hank Williams III, Bowling for Soup, Jack Ingram, Ziggy & Stephen Marley, Death Cab for Cutie, Conor Oberst, Modest Mouse and many more have all graced the Ridglea's stage. Awarded Fort Worth's highest Historical designation on Jan 10, 2011, the Ridglea Theater is the crown jewel of Fort Worth's West Side culture. With an exciting new live music concept, a swanky art deco VIP bar, balcony table service, and a complete restoration to it's original design specifications, the Ridglea Theater will be here to stay for generations to come.
