It's been a while since I had the chance to brew. To celebrate Veterans Day I'm brewing a double batch of hazy IPA, that I plan to split into two 5 gallon brews. One of which will get dry hopped. Tentative name for the primary is Veterans Day Haze. Not sure about the DH version yet.

My latest creations are a split batch IPA using Cascade hops. 5 gallons will be an IPA using Safale S-05 yeast. The other 5 gallons will be a blood orange IPA using Safale S-04 yeast, that will hopefully help bring out the blood orange flavor.

Brew day is upon us. Brewing 10 gallons my Troubled Double DIPA today. 5 gallons for me and 5 gallons for the Emerald Coast Beer Fest. Hoping for 8+% ABV and hoping doesn't go crazy and end up close to 10% again. 😵‍💫🤣🍻

Mike Hunt's Hot & Moist IPA is kegged and cold crashing.

ABV: 5.9%

Not too hoppy with a nice pepper bite on the back end.

1/2oz Citra @ 15 minutes
1/2oz Cascade @ 15 minutes
1/2oz Citra @ Flameout
1/2oz Cascade @ Flameout

Dry hops:
1oz Citra @ 14 days
1oz Cascade @ 14 days

Additions:
1lb Mike’s Hot Honey @ 10 minutes
1 Whirlflock tablet @ 10 minutes

Yeast:
Safale S-05

Brewing a coffee stout, for the MUCH better half, today. Maris Otter, dark crystal and black & chocolate malts with Fuggle hops (US & UK) and ground coffee. First time using coffee, so I'm hoping for the best. 😆
