We want to again thank everyone who has reached out with prayers, kind words, strong backs and all well wishes. You are all appreciated. To clarify, I have been describing our issue as a structural issue and not a fire, this is not to diminish the issue, just to more accurately describe what has caused our closing. Had some amazing patrons not taken initiative and investigated the power issue, this could have been worse. The Fort Scott Fire Department responded so quickly they were able to extinguish the fire in the images without even having to connect a hose, which is amazing. They were diligent in their follow up to make sure a secondary fire did not occur. So when I say we did not have a fire, I mean the collapse caused the small fire you see in the pictures and not a fire causing a collapse.
