Erie Station Bar & Grill

Two years ago the “Erie Station Bar & Grill" idea came alive. For years, we catered events upon request. It was a lifelong dream to take those catering recipes and place them into brick and mortar. David and I did this with the help of friends and several family members that, to be honest, we will never be able to repay enough. After purchasing, not one, but two buildings we set out on an extensive renovation; new floors, breaking out walls to give more room, refurbished walls, new lighting and a modernized kitchen was added. A massive bar was built from the remaining bricks, which we extracted from the walls we removed, to keep in line with the theme we are trying to portray at the Erie Station. When named the establishment, we thought long and hard about the name and wanted very much to show respect to the town and area where we raised our children and grew up ourselves. When you think of the our region it is loaded with history. The Erie Canal and the railroad really placed Fort Plain on the map many years ago, bringing in jobs, city life, and allowing the farmers access to the rest of the country to provide their goods. We believe that Fort Plain is on its way back to those glory days. Fort Plain is strong, steady and a fighter, like David and I! So when it came to a name, it had to be Erie Station! If we can help in that process, in any small way, David and I are proud.
