For nearly a decade, Roadside ‘Que has been more than a BBQ joint — it’s been a family story, built by Justin, Heather, and Uncle Gregg, serving Fort Payne with love, smoke, and soul.

Now, that story continues with a new chapter: our partnership with Flights BFD (Brewed, Fermented & Distilled) and the introduction of self-pour wine machines — one of only eight in the entire state of Alabama!

🌟 Where Smoke Meets Soul: A Grand Opening Story 🌟

Ten years ago, a family dream took root right here in Fort Payne — a little roadside BBQ spot with big flavor and even bigger heart. From slow-smoked ribs to homemade sauces, the Christman family built Roadside ‘Que into a gathering place where food, family, and friendship come together over the pit.

Now, that same spirit is evolving. We’ve partnered with Flights BFD (Brewed, Fermented & Distilled) to bring something truly new to town — self-pour wine machines that let you explore wines from small, sustainable producers around the world. 🍷

After months of fine-tuning (and plenty of taste-testing), we’re ready to celebrate!

Perfect for cool fall nights by the fire—especially with freshly smoked ribs. And you can take a bottle home!

This heritage Carignane comes from century-old, dry-farmed vines near the San Joaquin River and is crafted by three generations of the Cline family. Hand-harvested, gently crushed, and aged in French oak, it’s a wine with depth and soul.

Aromas: black plum, cherry, cedar, and spice.
Flavors: red berry jam, plum, chocolate, and vanilla with earthy warmth.

Rich, vibrant, and full of history—California craftsmanship in every sip.

When we were kids, you could often find us playing in the vineyards. Our parents wanted to make sure that we had a safe place to play. And because of that, it was important to them that pesticides and herbicides were not used to grow our grapes. We farm sustainably, using cover crops and compost teas to nourish the soil, and sheep to control the weeds to create healthy vines now and for the next generations.
