We are officially listed on the Minnesota Vikings website!! This is extremely rewarding for us after all the effort we have put into this for 9 years.

Scott Laden and I (Blaine Lokhorst) have been very dedicated over the past nine years to developing the ultimate watch party experience for Minnesota Vikings fans living in the Fort Myers area. We’ve teamed up with a couple of different venues along the way, and it has been an incredible ride!

This will be our second season at Backroads Brewhouse & Sports formerly known as Pelican Larry’s, and we couldn’t be happier to have them as part of this tradition. Our goal this year is simple: FILL THE PLACE TO THE MAX every Sunday afternoon! 💜💛

We’re hoping this will be our best season yet, and we’ve got some exciting things lined up! We have: 🏈 New Vikings Watch Party T-shirts
🔊 The sound of the game
📯 The First Down Horn
🎶 And, of course… THE TOUCHDOWN SONG!

I even had a few extra shirts made specifically to give away at halftime! We’ll also be bringing back the 50/50 raffle, so there will be plenty of chances to have some fun while supporting the party.

If you’re looking for a fun way to spend a few hours on Sunday afternoon — a little football, a few drinks, and a whole bunch of fellow Vikings fans — come join us!

The more people we get, the more fun it becomes. When we have a packed house, it’s honestly more fun than any tailgate party! 🍻🏈

I’ve created an event, so please respond to the event if you plan on coming. This helps us determine if we need to add additional seating and also helps Boston, the GM at Backroads, know if she needs to schedule additional staff to accommodate our group.

Let’s make this our biggest and best season yet!

SKOL, Vikings fans! 💜💛🏈

More than fair to be concerned about Kyler Murray after last week, but you should probably give the experiment more than 1.1 games.

As an example, Jay Cutler was absolutely fu**in rotten in his first start with the Bears in 2009 -- after leaving the Broncos -- tallying 1 TD and 4 INTs on 17-36 passing. He then threw 2 TDs and 236 passing yards the following week.

In 2003, Jake Plummer joined the Broncos, and in his first game, he went 12 for 25, no TDs, and 3 INTs. A week later? 3 TDs and no INTs.

By Tom Brady's GOAT standards, he was okay to mid in Tampa in Weeks 1 and 2 in 2020 before exploding in Game No. 3 and later winning the Superbowl.

Kirk Cousins stunk his first game with the Falcons -- 155 yards, a TD, and 2 INTs. He would rebound to respectability soon after.

Murray probably needs more than 1.1 games before you utterly rage about how awful he is.Food for thought.

Brian Flores has been on an absolute heater in the Vikings last 8 games.

In their last 8 games, the defense has:
30 sacks (1st)
39.4% success rate allowed (3rd)
5.5% deep ball throw rate against (1st)
55% completion percentage against (1st)
51.5% blitz rate (1st by 13%)

Flores should very well be our HC. KOC is supposed to be the great offensive mind and has not broke top 15 since hired by the Vikings. I hope we finnally get to see a good offensive production on Sunday!
