The Playmor Tiki Bar - located inside the Sunset Beach Tropical Grill, has a fabulous history. The building sat behind the first beach school and served as a lunch room and eventually a spare classroom. The school was closed in 1948 and the lunch room building was moved to this site. It opened in the early 1950's as The Playmore and it was the first and only public place for adults to socialize on

Fort Myers Beach. Our goal is to keep with the early traditions of The Playmore, a fun gathering place with a phenomenal view. You can sit back and relax, watching the fishermen on the pier or the dolphins playing in the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Let's not forget, our white sandy beach and the world renowned sunsets. We have added great food and of course your favorite libations with live entertainment for a complete Fort Myers Beach experience. We are overjoyed with all the positive responses we have received within the past 24 hours. We would like to thank each of you for sharing your beautiful memories and stories, we truly appreciate your continued support.

The Sunset family is excited about rebuilding and if all goes well, we are hoping to start construction early summer.

We are working with all the owners of Times Square to create an amazing, fun, entertaining and family friendly venue for everyone to come back and enjoy our beautiful Fort Myers Beach.

We have been in contact with Lee County and they are waiting for an inspection by FEMA to determine the extent of damages and time frame for rebuilding the pier.

This isn’t just about rebuilding Sunset Grille, but about rebuilding Times Square, it’s merchants, business owners, and our loyal patrons.

Also, please note that Lin Hall Park will be open for parking as of April 15, 2023.

Again, thank you for all the love and continuous support. Stay tuned for more updates through the rebuilding process.

Join us Monday November 21st for Sunset Beach Tropical Grill & The Playmore Tiki Bar Staff Benefit. 10% of that day's sales will go directly to the staff at Sunset Beach Tropical Grill.

The menu at Sunset Beach is great, but they've got a steal of a Happy Hour Menu. The Peel N' Eat Shrimp Boat is a go-to, especially paired with that amazing view.

Monday the 21st will be Sunset Tropical Grills employee's appreciation night at Bucketts. They will be donating 10% of all proceeds to the staff. This is going on all day long. We will also do a 50/50 raffle as well. We appreciate everyone that can come out and support us.
