The restaurant’s name tells the story: guests love dining beside the Fort Myers Beach Pier with direct views of the Gulf of Mexico as seafood platters and award-winning ribs come piping hot from the grill. Now celebrating 20 years on Fort Myers Beach, PierSide Grill is in the middle of the action, nestled in the heart of Times Square. Relaxed and fun, PierSide Grill is a magnet for tourists wanting to experience the famed Fort Myers Beach vacation spirit. “It’s the best place to catch amazing sunsets,” says managing partner Martin York, who has run the popular restaurant for the past 20 years. The place has weathered hurricanes, financial recessions and tough competition and is still standing strong with burgers, shrimp and awesome entrees as well as frozen drinks. PierSide Grill has indoor and outdoor seating and has a tradition of hosting weddings, receptions and private parties. “We can accommodate four generations – mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, kids, babies.” There is a kid’s menu and the sandy beach just steps away. The Famous Blowfish Bar is one of the hot spots on Fort Myers Beach. Serving award-winning frozen drinks at the full liquor bar. Happy Hour is 3-6 p.m. daily.
