🌴 Bert’s Beach Bar Explained
We want to provide a clear and accurate picture of what’s planned for Bert’s Beach Bar and what you’re seeing in these images.
The photos reflect Phase One of the project — designed to bring the space to life while meeting current building requirements and continuing progress toward the full vision.
Here’s what to expect in this phase:
• A covered, open-air structure with shaded seating
• Designated beach access
• Kitchen and restroom units positioned to the left of the main structure
Due to updated FEMA requirements following Hurricane Ian, certain elements on the property are required to remain mobile. This allows for safe removal in the event of future storms and flooding.
Because of this, the kitchen and restroom facilities will be mobile by design — this is intentional and required, not a temporary workaround.
To be clear:
This will not be a rotating food truck setup or “food truck park.”
Food and beverage operations will be led by Rayan Wedderburn, an experienced hospitality professional with a background managing high-volume food and beverage operations in hotel and country club environments, as well as leading his own catering company.
Rayan and his team will deliver a consistent, high-quality food and beverage experience that reflects the level of care being put into the overall project.
Our goal is to create a well-designed, welcoming beach space that aligns with both community expectations and current coastal requirements.
We appreciate the community’s interest and look forward to sharing continued progress.
We’re committed to building something Fort Myers Beach can be proud of — both now and long-term.
