To all our friends and family of Patty's Pub and The Rock Room,
Feel free to share this post.
As some of you have already heard we will be closing at the end of the month. It is NOT by choice. The people who own the building have sold the building out from under us. It is important to us that everyone understand exactly how this happened. So when the day comes that we are not here anymore, the truth has been told.
I was approached by a customer informing me that the building owners were going to be selling the building and the customer wanted me to know this because he didn't want to see me get screwed. I said Thank You. The next day I spoke to the building owners and they confirmed their desire to sell the building. I said that I understood, all I ask is that I get first chance at buying, not wanting to lose what I've worked SO HARD to build over the years. I was told Yes, absolutely. One week later I found out they had already accepted an offer TWO WEEKS prior to our conversation. THEY LIED. THEY LIED TO MY FACE.
As of today, I can not say what the future holds for us. I have nothing to report at this time.
I do not know what the new owners intentions are with the building, so PLEASE DON'T ASK ME.
There is NO possible way to express my gratitude to EVERYONE who has supported us over the years and I'm assuming facebook has a max on the amount of characters it will allow me to type. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE know that the success of Patty's Pub and The Rock Room was NOT accomplished by myself alone. It was ALL of you! The customers, the bands, the sound techs, our pool and dart teams, all the girls who volunteered their time to help and most of all... MY FAMILY. ESPECIALLLLLLY MY HUSBAND. The man deserves a cape or his own holiday or something. The sacrifices of SO MANY will NEVER go unnoticed or unappreciated by me.
I can not make this post with out acknowledging P*e Wee, in my opinion, he started all this years ago, we just came in and brought it back to life. For all the work you put in before us P*e Wee, I thank you. I did my best to keep it alive.
I have so much to say and want to thank you all individually, unfortunately I can not do that here. What I can say is... we have 30 days left. Let's make the BEST OF IT.
