It has been an honor getting to know this community for the past 6 years, and we want to share our appreciation one final time. Our doors will close at 9p this Thursday the 21st, but there’s still time to say farewell. We have some kegs left to kick and just a few days to get it done. Hours this week are 3p-9p Tuesday through Thursday.

For our Grand Finale, come share a toast to Avuncular Bob’s Beerhouse with Dan & Lenah this Thursday from 6p-9p. And although he won’t be joining us, let’s all say CHEERS to the real Avuncular Bob - our inspiration and muse.

Dear Friends of Avuncular Bob’s,

With a mix of gratitude and sadness, we share the news that Avuncular Bob's Beerhouse will be closing its doors at the end of this year after an incredible 6-year journey in Fort Collins. We are left immensely thankful and grateful for the warmth and support you've shared with us throughout this time.

As we reflect on the memories made and friendships forged, we must also convey a somber note. Recently, we lost a beloved business partner and friend who was integral to helping us create the heart and soul of Avuncular Bob's. His presence is greatly missed.

It's with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the need to move on from this chapter. We had hoped to continue the journey with you, but sometimes life takes unexpected turns, prompting us to embrace new paths.

In these final weeks, we invite you to join us to "kick the kegs" and raise a glass together to drink-in the memories, share stories, and express our gratitude for the community that has been the heartbeat of Avuncular Bob's.

While we bid farewell to this chapter, we are open to exploring investment or purchase opportunities that may keep Avuncular Bob's alive. If you or someone you know is interested in contributing to the continuation of this cherished establishment, please reach out to us. Your involvement could be the key to preserving the essence of Avuncular Bob's Beerhouse and carrying its legacy forward.

In the meantime, we will be updating our hours for our final weeks and will provide details soon on our last day. This week’s events include:

🍻Thursday 12/7 Drag Bingo at 7p. There are only a few tickets left!

🍻Friday 12/8 Karaoke with DJ Robert at 8pm. Only a couple of opportunities left to sing your heart out with us!

🍻Saturday 12/9 Blast N Scrap presents live music beginning at 7p.

🍻Sunday 12/10 Our final Bob Ross Paint Along event at 1p. Limited spots available, please contact us to reserve yours.

What it means to be avuncular.

We’d wager to guess you’re probably wondering (or possibly Googling) what “avuncular” means right about now. So, allow us to help: “Avuncular” is an adjective that technically translates from its Latin origin to refer to one who is a “maternal uncle,” specifically to his nephew(s). The word is meant to encapsulate that relationship dynamic; a best friend and family member all wrapped up into one. But we prefer the broader, more modern interpretation.

You see, you don’t have to be an uncle, a nephew, or even a man in order to be avuncular! Avuncular people are all around us. They’re the “honorary” family members; the mentors who go the extra mile to encourage and inspire; the jovial neighbors who always wave back.

If your favorite moments in life are those spent taking in the scenery with a cold pint and great company, then it sounds like you might be avuncular, too!

Here at Avuncular Bob’s we see it as our mission to spread this message in our Colorado communities and beyond! We hope to contribute in our own small way to building a friendlier, happier, more avuncular world.
