Some friends showed up unexpected in their class A yesterday so we put them up at our river spot. They’ve been on the road for 2 weeks tripling around Northern California and we’re headed home when they made a left turn to come see us. They said it’s their favorite camp spot of the trip.

They get bonus points for feeding the kids and I dinner. One thing about living out here is it’s not often that someone else cooks me dinner. I’m usually the one feeding people.

Remember if you visit during the week you will get bonus points for cooking me us dinner!

Laundry day just got a lot more interesting. When you live off-grid, you have to get creative. Today, Monkey Monk is trading the washing machine for a pressure washer. What’s the weirdest way you’ve ever cleaned your clothes?

Perfect head of broccoli in the garden today! If you are a gardener what’s your favorite things to grow. It’s hard for me to pick, but I’m really loving the broccoli today! I used broccoli greens in the eggs this morning like I would kale, they were tender and sweet!

We had a great weekend meeting new folks and connecting with old friends who stopped in.

Good Morning from Larry and the gang. If you are visiting and you see the horses on the road they are part of the community. Siskiyou county is a free range county, meaning if you don’t want the horses in your year it’s your responsibility to fence them out.

Serving burgers and pulled pork sandwiches today. Nice to see everyone who came in yesterday.
