Apocalypse Ale Works is the first brewery in Forest, Virginia since Thomas Jefferson brewed in the 1800's at Poplar Forest. In addition to a brewery, we also have a tasting room, where the public can try our products. We are located in the old Forest Volunteer Fire Department, beside Pints O'Plenty. The brewery sells kegs all over the state of Virginia, with an emphasis on supplying the local restaurants first.

On this D-Day anniversary, we raise a glass in remembrance of the brave men who crossed the English Channel into history, especially the Bedford Boys, whose sacrifice forever connects our community to the shores of Normandy.

Welcoming back D-FENDER, an American Hazy IPA brewed in honor of courage, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of freedom.

Crafted with a bold alliance of Citra and Mosaic hops, D-FENDER pours with a golden haze reminiscent of sunrise breaking through storm clouds after a long and uncertain night.

Bright waves of citrus, mango, grapefruit, and tropical fruit lead the charge, followed by subtle pine and a balanced bitterness that serves as a reminder that the freedoms we enjoy today came at a tremendous cost.

Soft, unfiltered, and unwavering in character, this beer is dedicated to those who answered the call, those who stood the line, and those who never came home.

Today, we remember the fallen, honor the brave, and celebrate the liberty they helped secure.
