The day is here - Day Of The Dowd 3!
Gerald Dowd has put together a full day of music, featuring 14 bands, two stages and one drummer, all to benefit Beyond Hunger!
Gerald will begin drumming at 11am and won’t stop until 11pm.
Today, and only one day only, you'll be greeted by 50 of the best musicians in Chicago, playing some of the best original music anywhere, ALL DAY LONG. There will also be arts and crafts for kids, and a silent auction table with some pretty amazing items, including a special "Wilco World" area featuring rare items, recordings, clothing, books and trinkets from one of the greatest bands Chicago has ever produced.
We have a generous and anonymous donor over at the Beyond Hunger website who is matching funds up to $2,500. So if you can't make it to the show -- or even if you can -- PLEASE consider dropping a ducat in the bucket for this amazing food (and then some!) bank. Beyond Hunger feeds over 70,000 people annually, and can provide 3 meals for as low as $1, so any donated amount quite literally helps. They're an amazing organization doing incredible work; let's help them keep doing it.
To donate, go to https://www.gobeyondhunger.org, and when you get to the page, click 'DONATE NOW' in the upper right corner. To activate the matching funds, write 'DAY OF THE DOWD 3' when asked "is this is a gift on behalf of a company or org".
