It is with a heavy heart that we announce the termination of our lease agreement at 129 Textile Ave where we had planned to establish Mill Town Brewing Company, Spindale's first brewery. We believe in open and honest communication with our supporters and community, and thus feel compelled to address the rumors and provide clarity on the reasons behind this decision.
First and foremost, we want to emphasize that our decision to terminate the lease agreement
was solely the result of an ongoing dispute with the landlords that began in the Fall of 2021. This dispute unfortunately escalated last year to a point where it became untenable for us to continue building out in the current location, as no clear resolution was in sight. We faced various challenges induced by the landlord's commandeering of the bottom floor to build an axe throwing bar, including but limited to differences of opinion surrounding past, current, and future lease agreements. Despite our continuous efforts to find a resolution that would allow us to honor the original agreement made in 2019, this ongoing impasse has left us with no alternative but to terminate the agreement.
We want to assure everyone in our supportive community that our commitment to bringing a
vibrant and exciting brewery experience remains as strong as ever. We are sincerely grateful for the enduring enthusiasm and encouragement you have shown throughout this journey. While we
understand the anticipation surrounding our brewery and acknowledge the disappointment that will be felt with this news, we want to assure you that we remain fully dedicated to bringing our vision to life and fostering a vibrant gathering place to share craft beer within our community.
As we tirelessly explore alternative locations to purchase that align with our vision, we kindly request your continued support and understanding during this transitional period.
