The Museum Club is for sale for the first time in nearly five decades and it has a story that deserves to be heard! 🎸

My dad, Martin Zanzucchi, has been the steward of The Zoo since 1978. The man who got this building on the National Register of Historic Places. Who fought to restore the road’s name to Historic Route 66. Who spent nearly five decades making sure this place is still here.

This is not a highlight reel...this is the real story, told in hopes of reaching the person who writes the next chapter.

“Well I’ll be damned.” Episode 3 just dropped! Nobody talks about Doc Williams. But they should. 👀🤠

Jake says goodbye to Dean Eldredge, who wished him well on his journey to find the new Zookeepers and travels forward to 1936 to meet the man who changed everything.

Because here’s what most people don’t know: The Museum Club didn’t start as a honky-tonk. It started as a taxidermy museum. It was Doc Williams, an incredible saddle maker with a vision, who looked at Dean’s giant log cabin full of animals and said yeah, this should be a bar.

And just like that, The Zoo Club was born. 🦬🍺

The tavern. The nightclub. The dance hall we all know and love. The place where Flagstaff has gone to let loose for nearly a century. It all started with Doc Williams in 1936.

We’re traveling down the road to find the next owner, one episode at a time, and the story only gets better from here. 🎸

🚨LISTING GOES LIVE TODAY🚨

We are gearing up to go live with the official listing tomorrow!! The shares, the tags, the DMs, the comments… you have no idea how much this is working.

We have genuine interest from some serious visionaries who are watching this community show up for The Zoo in real time. And that matters. Because when a buyer is deciding whether to take a leap on a place like this, seeing an entire community rally behind it is exactly what tips the scales.

We need to keep this momentum going. Tag a business, a brand, or a visionary who belongs behind these doors ⬇️

Tag an artist you’d love to see play at the Zoo under the new owners. 🎤🎶🎸

Share this with someone who loves Flagstaff, Route 66, or American history. 🦅🇺🇸

You are not just watching, you are actively helping find the next Zookeeper. And it is working.. and we love you for it. Thank you. Genuinely… thank you so much.

🎬 EPISODE 2 IS HERE. Dean just asked the question -“Does the building still stand today?”

Before we list this property for sale, we need to tell you the full history. This is Deans Story, the builder and original owner of the Museum club. Without him, it may have never been called the Zoo.

When traveled back to 1931 to meet Dean Eldredge - the taxidermist with a boyhood dream so big he hired unemployed lumberjacks to build him the largest log cabin in Arizona - nobody could have imagined what this place would become.

In Episode 2, Dean walks Jake through his extraordinary collection. Wild animals. Rare artifacts. A museum unlike anything Route 66 had ever seen. The structure and collection was so massive, so wild, so utterly one-of-a-kind that the locals had only one thing to say about it:

“This place is a Zoo.” 🦬

And the name stuck. Nearly a century later, Flagstaff locals still call it The Zoo. Always have. Always will.

When Dean asks Jake if the building still stands today — Jake’s answer gives us chills every single time. 🎸

📽️ Haven’t seen Episode 1? Go back to our previous post to watch Jake travel back to the very beginning…the lumberjacks, the logs, the birth of an American legend.

📣 Know someone who loves Flagstaff history? Tag em, share this with them.

💡Know a business, a brand, or a visionary who belongs inside these walls? Tag them too. This story deserves to be heard by the right people — and we have a feeling the new owner is closer than we think. 👀

PRIVATE RESERVE!
The best reposado in Flagstaff hands down. Museum Club was allowed to taste from 5 different barrels before they were blended to make the Codigo you are familiar with. That is how we picked a barrel superior to their final product. Then they bottled the entire barrel with our logo.

We still have 7 cases of these $66 bottles we are selling for $40 each to clear them out. Be there Saturday 9 to noon. Cash or venmo only.

We also have 50 bottles at only $7 with Museum Club stickers on the label. And plenty of others in the 20 to $25 dollar range. Come early for better selection.

FUN FACTS:
-All tequila is made in the town of Tequila Mexico.
-All tequila is made from the blue agave.
-Other mescals are made from other species of agave, mostly in Oaxaca.
-George Straight has owned Codigo since 2016.
