🧀 Mac & Cheese done the Root Cafe way! Cooked in a 6" cast iron pan — Country Dairy, Inc sharp cheddar and mozzarella cheese, macaroni topped with crispy panko topping. Garnished with scallion, served with a side of coleslaw & fruit garnish.

Root is a small but mighty little cafe, and we operate with a small staff. Fall is always a challenge after kids go back to school and we lose our high school and college staff. This year is hitting us a little harder with loosing another full-time crew member.

Root is changing our hours effective 8/19/26:

Monday - Tuesday Noon-6pm
Closed Wednesday
Thursday 10am-6pm
Friday-Saturday 10am-7pm
Sunday 10am-6pm

Root is a small but mighty little cafe, and we operate with a small staff. Fall is always a challenge after kids go back to school and we loose our high school and college staff. This year is hitting us a little harder with loosing another full time crew member.

I want to make sure I can keep serving you with the quality you expect of Root, so we are adjusting hours to fill this temporary gap.

Thanks for your understanding. And Root is currently hiring for the kitchen. Please reach out if you want to join our team, this is year around employment.

Craig’s Saturday free w**e tasting had a nice variety .

Our Aug 28th Premium w**e tasting is sold out.

There are 4 spaces left in the Sept 4 Premium w**e tasting. Reservations required. $55 all inclusive including charcuterie board and w**e tastings.

Craig will be off for a few weeks starting Sept 12th as he gets a new hip. Cheers to a quick recovery!

Our Farm Burger features two 1/4lb locally sourced burgers, cheddar fried egg, ham, lettuce, Dijon aioli, tomato, lettuce & red onion on a brioche bun. Served with French fries.
