Happy Labor Day! Time to spotlight our next employee.. Michelle (who also works tonight)

Meet our Manager!
If you’ve stepped through the doors of Fireside Inn over the last 14 years, chances are you’ve seen this familiar face!
Michelle was my long term Wednesday night partner turned bridesmaid in our wedding.

Starting out behind the bar and serving tables, before we even went to settlement she stepped into the management role, and has helped keep the wheels turning ever since.

Fav food: Jamaican jerk Daytona wings
Drink: 1800 coconut margarita

Michelle has lived in feasterville for over 15 years so it’s not just an area she loves to work in, it’s her own community.

Originally making the move up from the city, she’s been happily married to her husband, Chuck, since 2009. Together, they’ve built a busy, full life raised alongside their two daughters, Makayla and Juliette, plus a lively home crew: two dogs, Lulu and Rip, and their cat, Athena.

Self-described as a total workaholic, any rare free time is spent staying active at Hotworx (there’s a trend with fireside and Hotworx in case you didn’t know), she’s a real estate agent, catching up on true crime documentaries, or unwinding with family and close friends over a great margarita or martini. But ask her the real secret to keeping it all together? Absolute necessity #1: morning coffee! ☕✨
I make sure I ask if she had her coffee yet before I start our daily work conversations.

Next time you’re in, make sure to say hello. Her set bartending schedule is Monday & Tuesday nights & Friday days. But you’ll always see her floating around.

Happy Saturday! It’s Liliana’s last Saturday, so make sure you stop in and see her! Today, she’s getting the send-off she deserves—with her in the spotlight. ❤️

This is one I get to write personally.

I first met Lili when she was just 16 years old. She helped me by waitressing at a Christmas party for someone who has since become one of our close friends—another friendship made through Fireside. Lili was amazing, everyone loved her, and even at such a young age, I got to watch her hustle.

She turned 20 right around the time we bought Fireside, and I hired her the very next day. As much as I hate sending our staff off into the world without us, we’re lucky enough to watch them grow almost as if we’re their second parents.

Lili, we are so incredibly proud of you. You put yourself through school for respiratory therapy and finished by becoming one of the select few chosen for an internship. During your time at Fireside, we also got to watch you find the love of your life—now your fiancé! Shout-out to Eric for getting down on one knee this summer! We also watched you become a mom to the sweetest little girl, Vali.

We are definitely going to miss you, but I know you’ll never be too far away. You will always be family. One thing I will always take pride in is that Fireside isn’t just a job—it’s a family.

Congratulations, Lili, on everything you’ve accomplished since you started at Fireside. We couldn’t be prouder of you! ❤️

And Brandon…you have some big shoes to fill, but I know you’re going to crush it! We’ve been trying to find the perfect spot for Brandon for almost a year, and the timing finally is right. Brandon’s mom and I went to grade school together—shout-out to St. Chris! Life really is coming full circle these days.

Brandon is also a local teacher who just started his first year. Welcome to the Fireside family, Brandon!

I woke up this morning and got to send this text.

Cooks are never seen like the bartenders or front of the house and I want our team seen.
We will never be perfect there’s no such thing but we try!
Understandably most people eat at the same time. And it fills a restaurant quick. Being in the kitchen with them last night all i heard was ding ticket ding ticket ding ticket coming in. 😳 I stayed in there for the rush to help, to watch the system, & motivate.
They rocked it as always. It was a busy Thursday but not a weekend. The amount of food our very small -fits 3 people on top of each other- kitchen does is insane. (Can’t wait to expand soon)!
We thank you for understanding when we don’t get it right. But damn when we do we crush it!! Shout out to my cooking crew at both locations and our cafe cooks for all their hard work. As a business owner you are only as good as your team and luckily I get to send these texts more often then not.

Side note idk why i used the word spectacular but it happened.

Since she’s been our Thursday night server for 3 years Gianna otherwise known as GCAP is up:

G’s been apart of fireside for 5 years but in the serving industry for 10. My parents owned Lorenzo’s In the city so I started serving there. Born in Bensalem currently in Tacony -I love fireside so much I don’t mind the drive 😉
My SIL got me in the door by telling me how much she loved working there and now she owns it so I guess she wasn’t lying!

My favorite fireside dish is the spicy edamame 🤤
My favorite drink is a cosmo with orange vodka 🍸
My favorite shot is a chocolate covered pretzel 🥨

The joke is Samm came with the building as our longest employee from previous owners.

For the past 15 years, Samantha Griffis has proudly been part of the Fireside family. During that time, Fireside has become so much more than a place to work—it’s a place filled with lasting memories, lifelong friendships, and a true sense of family.

What Samantha loves most is the welcoming atmosphere that has remained at the heart of Fireside throughout the years. It’s the familiar faces, the connection with the community, and the people who continue to make her love what she does.

Outside of Fireside, Samantha is a proud mom to her 12-year-old daughter, Gracie Catherine, who is the center of her world. She is also married to Steve, whom you’ve probably caught yelling at the TV during a sports game! When she’s not at Fireside, Samm also works part-time in a medical office.

You can find Samantha every Tuesday for our famous Burger Night—and she proudly stands by her claim that Fireside serves the best burger in all of 19053!

Samm also helps plan our children’s events and sing-along lunches, which are when you’ll truly see her shine—or hear her sing! And if you’re lucky enough to catch Samm on a night out, stay close—she always brings the fun!

After 15 years, Samantha’s love for Fireside and the people who make it special continues to grow. For her, it has never been just a job—it’s family. ❤️
