Graduation day. 🎓

After one very educational week on the sidewalk, the sign has officially earned its degree in Small Town Public Relations.

Major: downtown Fayetteville behavior.
Minor: comment section survival.

It learned that screenshots travel faster than tourists on Route 19, the group chat is basically a local news outlet, and “did you see that sign?” counts as a full conversation starter.

But honestly? That’s why we love it here.

We love the people who laughed with us.
We love the people who gave us grace.
We love the people who dropped jokes in the comments.
We love the people who stopped us in town to talk about it.
And yes, we even love that one way or another, Fayetteville is always going to find out.

Cheers to small towns, big personalities, and the only place where a sidewalk sign can graduate with honors after becoming town lore.

Well. Our street sign made a poor life choice.

We want to genuinely apologize for the wording we put out downtown. It was meant to be funny, but it missed the mark, and we understand why people were upset.

That one is on us.

Southside has always tried to be a place where people feel welcome, safe, and able to have a good time. Sometimes being playful means knowing when the joke didn’t land and owning it.

So this week, the sign is going back to school.

Each day, it will be learning a new lesson from the streets of Fayetteville.

Today’s lesson: read the room.

Thanks to everyone who called it out, talked to us, or gave us the chance to do better. We are listening. We are learning. And yes, the sign is grounded.

We’ve always believed the arts deserve a stage, and that Fayetteville deserves spaces where people can show up, express themselves, and have a wildly fun night doing it.

These throwbacks are proof that drag night at Southside is never just a show. It’s a whole experience.
