“All right drunk horse pub if your outside come inside if you’re inside get to the front of the stage” haha I’ve thought a lot about how to write this post over the last couple of weeks honestly trying my best to delay the inevitable. For 10 years I said the above quote before every single band that played on our stage, it’s kinda sad to think I won’t get to say that anymore. We have officially decided to close the doors to the dhp. Myself and heather owe you guys the world and I promise you you we fought till the last breath with this place from location to location your support meant everything to us. We have made some amazing comebacks over our 10 years with the pub. I remember pawning everything to “just get to the madball show” lol I rember all the struggles of figuring out paying light bills before people got there to see the dark room. I remember being closed and shut out because of a fire, I remember fighting my ass off for an insurance company to let us be all ages and even being closed down because of it. I remember all the rules we broke to do it our way and to make live music happen. I rember so many struggles with the pub but most of all I remember the feeling of the kick drum , the goosebumps of the incoming breakdown, the anxiety of the mosh pit , and the smiles of all of you’re faces. While it was hard most times you guys reminded us what we did it all for and you will never know the impact you made on me ,heather and our staffs lives. I learned who I was inside those rooms, made friends for life, memories to cherish and people to call my family. I can promise you guys the dhp is over but I can’t promise that me and heather are done with the music scene, you will see us from time to time out supporting original music wherever we can find it. I also can’t promise you that we are done 🤫🤣. Until the next chapter I just want you guys to know I absolutely love all of you and thank you agin for your support over these last 10 years! -pawley
