Ireland Fantasy Table Game

Ireland Fantasy Table Game Your character will wander an Ireland full of magic, fantasy and twisted stories, working on several Far worse things crawl the swamps and peat bogs.

Similar to D&D, we use GURPS (Generic Universal Roleplaying System) to simulate an early middle ages high fantasy world. Ireland is Catholic, but other druidic, Viking an Celtic beliefs dominate the countryside. While Dublin is English, not much of the rest of the Island is ruled by anyone. Spanish influence is strong in Galway but carry a sword in the Connamara mountains because orcs dwell in caves there. Your character is your creation. Traditional roles such as archer and rogue are possible, but you are not limited at all. Many traits, positive and harmful, are possible...from pickpocket to noble background. Irish, French, Latin and other languages are spoken. Magic is practiced in several forms according to your religion and state of your heart. Books are rare, greed is not. Wealth is more often measured in sheep and cattle than in gold or silver.
..and that magic stick~pin you lifted off the tax collector might not turn out to have a spell you will want to cast.

Coming down the road is a Lord of the Rings murder mystery dinner. Set in Bree between the time of The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring, taking place at the Prancing Pony Inn, will feature guests of Rangers, Hobbits, Dwarves, Elves, wizards and men of Bree.
This is designed for real LOTR lovers with references to obscure lore and characters as we attempt to solve the murder of a travelling merchant who deals in the most shady of merchandise, and customers from the Shire to dark and hidden areas where decent folk dare not go.
