The Exchange Club of Farmington is planning its Book of Golden Deeds Award, given in recognition of outstanding volunteerism and community service. The award is presented to a nominee who is sincere about helping the community, has an exceptional track record of continued, unselfish giving and enjoys volunteering to help others onwards making their communities better places to live.
Please consider submitting a nomination for a person or group in the community who has made significant contributions through their volunteer efforts. The recipient can be from any profession or a member of any organization. They should be someone who deserves acclaim, but rarely receives it. The Book of Golden of Deeds Award is not limited to a single volunteer, but can also be presented to a group of individuals such as civic groups, religious groups, and charitable organizations.
It is the Exchange Club's objective to recognize and thank these individuals at an awards ceremony on April 20, 2023. The recipient will be presented with a special plaque and commemorative program highlighting their accomplishments. Past winners of this award given since 1956 include: C. Parker Fleming, John Grouten, Pat & Paul Robotham, Betty Coykendall, Bea Stockwell, Jack Crokett, the Farmington Junior Women's Club, Jerry Wadsworth, Marguerite W. Yung, Arline Whitaker, Jerry Pagano, Ruth Grobe, Mike Andreas, Dave Eveleth, and Alastair Bell.
In nominating a candidate, please keep in mind that the only criterion for receiving the awards is that the candidate is to have made significant contributions to the community. When selecting your choice, please include the reason for the nomination as well as your name, e-mail, and phone number. If you have any questions, please contact Joan Morin, Chairperson at [email protected].
Nominations can be e-mailed to [email protected]. Nominations must be received on or before April 3, 2023.
