Dry-anuary is over and we're open.

Kings Pointe
In our quest to keep Cul De Sacs at the forefront of cubicle-based bars, we recently went on a fact-finding mission to some of the new “mocktail bars” that are popping up for the “sober curious.” Our crack team of staff mixologists have been briefed and are currently at work formulating some new spirit free spirits that we look forward to serving at our upcoming grand-reopening Iyengar disco deep eye-gazing event. So stay tuned as we work to generate some buzz free buzz as the number one spot on Farmington Hills’ zero proof party scene.

Actually, we’ve got a stocked shelf and it’s January 31st.

What is cul de sacs?
Cul de sacs is not a bar. It’s a lifestyle brand.

An opportunity to drink up suburban office park culture.

To breathe in the chemically treated landscape clippings

To feel the interior of luxury SUVs

To rub the belly of a freshly groomed doodle

To bask in 12 mile traffic angst

So join us at Cul De Sacs as we recommit to being the most Farmington Hills place in Farmington Hills.

White Ridgewood-ian

In late 1985, Rocky IV opened at the Old Orchard theater and when Rocky called for the end of the Cold War after defeating Ivan Drago, his message rang out from 14 mile to 10 mile. Farmington Hills would go on to serve as a home away from home for names like Fetisov, Kozlov, Larionov, Fedorov, and Konstantinov during the Red Wings glory days. When the Russian Five pulled their Ferraris up to the old Russian Bear restaurant and strode in wearing the latest Diesel fashions, the caviar and vodka would flow and Zazdarovje would be had by all. It is in this spirit of comradeship that we raise a toast to our new soon-to-be-regulars at Cul De Sacs. That and ya have to admit the bear looks funny with a hat.

Regrettably, this...

Woodland Trails

We won’t miss hearing about lost wallets, keys and phones. We won’t miss hearing about those as****es at the Chevy dealer. We won’t miss being told we have to watch this drunk video where someone falls off a stage. We won’t miss hearing about who was the responsible one at the bar or who has the sh*ttiest roommate. We won’t miss the crying over baby otter videos or the frustration of not being able to get Jon Pardi tickets. We won’t miss the sound of beers being cracked at 2:15 on a Tuesday. We won’t miss Deb sending an APB out for BEN.

We won’t miss any of it. We’ll miss all of it.

Opening early for Labor Day weekend and to send off Kailey. Please enjoy the Acorn Valley.

Acorn Valley

Was it the Old Testament or WCSX-Detroit’s home of classic rock that said, “To everything there is a season?” One minute, the corner of 14 mile and Orchard Lake is a Wing Hong’s restaurant where they serve minors in the karaoke room, the next it’s an Old Navy and then an AT&T Wireless store. Ya can’t stop change. People and places come and go. So goodbye Aretha. Godspeed Kailey. And Hello Beau the Bear. Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Outward lay a chill that turned the heart primal. With seat heaters raised to uncharted levels, every movement beyond the warming womb of my BMW X6 brought with it a confrontation to master or be mastered by. Kill or be killed! Eat or be eaten! That was the law of this lawless landscape. A mandate to be carefully considered before opening the door and venturing across the vast, unforgiving hellscape of the Whole Foods parking lot.

When someone tells me about a place that has a Christmas tree made out of sparkling wine cans, I say, “Count me in!!!” I had heard about Cul De Sacs from a Facebook friend who worked at Coretek and wanted to see if the buzz was real or “fake news.” Since I consider myself a foodie (but for alcohol) I stopped in with my hubby before a holiday shopping trip to Yankee Candle (gift for myself? yes please! LOL!!!). The staff suggested I start with a shot of Amarito, but I had to tell them about my carmel coloring allergy for 20 minutes so that was a no-go. They then said to “pour whatever,” so hubby and I did. I had the Rose and hubby had the Sparkling White. Both were good, but not the best we have had – guess you get what you pay for – FREE!!! The décor was a mishmash with a sorta golf theme to make people think they’re classier than your average free cubicle bar and the crowd seemed kind of burnt-out, like their brains were fried from overthinking digital banner ads. Since we don't live close, I won't rush back but if you work on the second floor of an office building on Country Club Drive, Cul De Sacs should do the trick. Happy Holidays Yelpers!!!
